This Sunday morning my father told me that we were going to a Rotary function, so we got ready and set off. We met at Rajesh uncle's house which is in Fatima Nagar near Big Bazaar. It is a large house with a very nice garden, where some of us planted different species of plants. There were many goodies which people really liked. It was also Jyotsna aunty's birthday, and we celebrated by her cutting two cakes which we all enjoyed. After that we all went to Jatin and Kajal aunt's new house at St Patrick's Town where we planted a tree. Once again there was much to eat, thanks to Kajal aunt, but because we had all eaten so much at the Jain's house we could not do justice to Kajal aunt's spread. Our next stop was Monisha's aunt's house near Magarpatta City. It is a lovely society with a large swimming pool and very beautiful landscaped gardens. Monisha aunt took us to a corner of the society where we planted a gulmohur tree. When all the trees were planted, the world's best photographer Nakiya Haideri took some lovely photographs which I am told will be appearing in the National Geographic Channel. The long walk and the plantation made us all very hungry and we were thankful to Monisha and Ajay uncle for the very tasty biryani which was waiting for us, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Finally we all went home, happy that we all did some eco-friendly work and at the same time enjoyed yummy food. by Bazil Faquih (S/o Rtn. Haseeb Faquih)
