RCP Gandhibhavan observed Tecahers' Day this year in a novel way. Recognising the fact that teachers of special children have to put in a lot more efforts in their teaching jobs and have to do it as a mission, RCP Gandhibhavan felicitated three teachers who have dedicated their lives to the development of special children. The Chief Guest was PDG Rtn. Dr. Sudhir Rashingkar. Mrs. Ujjwala Soni, a teacher Poona Home and School for Blind Girls, herself visually challenged was one of the three recipients of this honour. The work of other two recipients- Mr. Salu Bhandkoli, teachers in Ruia Mookbadhir Vidyalay and Mr. Santosh Munde, teacher in Navkshitij School for Mentally Challenged- also is praiseworthy because in spite of having spent their own formative years in adverse conditions, they have chosen to serve the less fortunate. The recipients were presented with a citation, shawl and shreephal. Dr. Rashingkar appreciated RCP Gandhi Bhavan's gesture to felicitate these teachers who are not be taken note of by others. Members and spouses of RCP Gandhi Bhavan were present in large numbers.
