The second Blood Donation Camp of the yearwas organized on the beautiful green campus of Suzlon One Earth in Hadapsar on 26th August 2013 jointly with Suzlon Foundation. The camp was planned for donating blood to Jawans of Indian Army in collaboration with Dept of Transfusion Medicine, AFMC, Pune. AFMC team led by Maj. Samantha Kumarage and Nyk Subedar M. R. Lashkar, supported by 8 other team members laid 5 beds for donors. The registration started sharp at 9.30am. The employees of Suzlon were very enthusiastic and stood in long queues for donation of blood to the Jawans. In all, 125 units of Blood was collected during the camp between 9.30am to 4.00pm. RCPD team of President Biman & Manju, Oni & Nafisa, Pinky & Vikram and Ulhas provided volunteer service for managing the camp. RCPD also sponsored the refreshments consisting of Banana, Biscuits, Wafers and tea for the donors. Thus RCPD has added another feather in its cap by conducting blood donation camp for the Jawans of the India Army.
