“If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live.” -Albert Einstein In order to facilitate employment in rural areas , Rotary Club of Pradhikaran organized a training for 50 villagers of Maval in honey making and bee keeping on 20 Oct First set of bee-boxes are donated by Rotary Club of Pradhikaran .Additional bee boxes will be donated based on the success of the initial batch. Each bee box contains 30000 worker bees, 100 males and 1 queen bee. The farmer just has to spend few minutes a day for care taking of the bee box. The entire honey produced will be bought back from the farmers. The training was well received by farmers because honey production will bring assured additional income to them Honey making brings in profit within 6 months and gets govt support for loan as well. This unique project provides an employment option which will have a positive impact to the village economy.
