Rotary 3131 - Project Details

14-12-2019 - 14-12-2019

108 Ambulance is a service under which about 1000 well-equipped ambulances are available to the needy patients immediately on dialing 108. Research has shown that in case of an emergency like heart attack or accident, the elders are sometimes confused but the children instantly remember to call 108, if they are aware of these services. Rotary Club of Pune South has, therefore, taken up this project in association with BVG, the company that operates 108 Ambulance service, to spread awareness about this service in various schools and colleges. The first project of this year was undertaken at the municipal school in Sandesh Nagar on 14th Dec. 2019. 2 ambulances were parked at the school and students in batches of 5 each were taken inside the ambulance and all the facilities were explained to them by doctors of BVG Group. 50 books were also donated to the school under our Read To Lead project. 10 'Katha Udyojakancha' books were also given to inspire the students to become entrepreneurs.
