There are many tribal areas in India, where sun is the only source of light available. On that note, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite under its project – Light of Hope donated and installed 30 Solar Lights for the villagers of Sindhalachi Wadi, Tilore and Kharbachiwadi which are tribal villages in Pen Taluka, Maharashtra on 29th September, 2019. It was very moving to see expressions of happiness, hope and possibilities on faces of the beneficiaries as many of them did not have lights in their homes for many years. This, we believe is true essence of service at Rotary International.
