With a motivation to prevent water pollution in the River, Flowers and herbs offered to lord Ganesha during the immersion (Visarjan) are collected separately by the authorities. Rotary club Roha Central took an initiative to convert this collected waste into compost to be donated to various gardens the city .Compost is a versatile product resulting from composting - the biodegradation of organic waste at household,community or citywide level. The basic use of compost is conditioning and fertilizing soil by the addition of humus, nutrients and beneficial soil bacteria, with a wide range of specific applications.
