RC Pune North and other RC clubs applied and approved Fast Track Global Grant. There is no cure for COVID-19 disease, until now. Virus mainly attacks respiratory system & chokes patients with low immunity to death. It is now Pandemic Worldwide. Ventilators are critical to keep patients alive until they develop antibodies, immunity & live. Facilities are falling short almost in all hospitals. KEM is no exception. KEM hospital is a large Charity Hospital approved by Govt. authorities to treat COVID-19 patients. KEM Profile is attached. KEM is well equipped, but under capacity in terms of handling COVID-19 patients. Unfortunately they were forced to shift some Ventilators from Pediatric Wards to COVID-19 Wards leading to shortage of Ventilators for needy children. Hence we decided to support them. The Project's main objectives are to address urgent needs of KEM Hospital, in Pune city, in terms of supply of Ventilators, COVID-19 Test Kits & PPE Kits to diagnose & treat patients suffering from COVID-19 Virus attack, using ventilators & also protect Doctors, Nurses & Staff of these Hospitals using PPE kits. Who will benefit? 1. Hospital: KEM, A Charity Hospital approved by Govt for COVID-19 Treatments. 2. Doctors, Nurses, Staff at above hospitals 3. Patients suffering from COVID-19 Virus attack Total Budget Rs 75 Lakhs. These will be supplied to Govt Hospitals, Naidu, Sassoon, KEM, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Symbiosis as directed by Divisional Commissioner as per epidemic act. .
