This is a unique project taken up by RC Nigdi this year. The inspiration came from the speech of RIDN Rtn Ravi Vadlamani during the DG's Installation. During the survey of schools for projects we came to understand that in many schools of Rural areas & even in Urbun area there are no benches for the students to sit & hence they are sitting on the floor. Sitting on the floor for hours creates fatigue in the students & also the view of the board & teacher is not at a proper angle. This will also disturb the concentration of the students. Hence RC Nigdi in first lot took a project of 500 benches. The respond was spontaneous & we could get a CSR partener for the said project. Schools also agreed to contribute. We completed the delivery of 500 benches to seven different schools. The project was inaugurated by the hands of RIDN Rtn Ravi Vadlamani himself along with our district DG Rtn Ravi Dhotre. During the function our DG urged to take this project forward to make it of 1000 benches. Hence we took up the distribution of another 250 benches & could find beneficiaries & funds for the same. Hence this will be a project which will be continued for next year also. In total we could execute distribution of 750 benches this year.
