To mark Rotary Club Of Poona's 84th Charter Day, an unique project of donating a Motorized cart to AICTS(ARMY INSTITUTE OF CARDIO THORACIC SCIENCES), was done in a grand ceremony attended by about 12 Rotarians & Anns The inauguration was done by our President Deepak Thacker in presence of Commander AICTS, Maj Gen Arindham Chatterjee along with his team of esteemed seniormost Doctors of AICTS. This motorised ecofriendly vehicle bearing the name of ROTARY CLUB OF POONA, wiill be used for many years to come to transport patients, especially the senior citizens from one building / Ward to another, within the newly constructed state of art Military hospital, spread over huge area. With capacity of Driver + 7 passengers, the Motorised cart will be doing several trips maybe 2 or more trips per hour, covering the entire sprawling campus area of Army hospital area, where all ranks of the armed forces from all over India visit for specialised treatment and this hospital also caters to civilians. The name of ROTARY CLUB OF POONA on the top & sides of the Cart will be seen & registered by hundreds of people every single day. So the direct beneficieries from this project ouf ours will be in the range 250 to 300 patients per day, or 7800 per month & 93,600 patients per month. Army is known for its sytematic maintenance of equipment & we can be confident that the cart will give service for many years to come, earning Rotary Club of Poona goodwill & blessings
