The Project covers three villages of Maveshi, Manik Ozar and Bawarchi Wadi. These villages are located in the backward area of Akole Taluka in Ahmednagar District. The Project involves digging trenches on hill slopes to retain flowing rain water and increase sub-soil level of water, making Check Dams, digging wells, Aforestation to prevent soil erosion and train villagers on useful farming, kitchen garden and water conservation.
