This year as per dist. Governor guide line, we distribute drum stick sapling to farmers from nearby villages. Along with drum stick we issue papaya sapling to them. i) Name of the Projects and avenue of work: Tree Plantation Project – 20th August 2014 (Venue –V.R.Karves House & Garden Ris Bhatwadi) ii) Need Assessment: Actually tree plantation is today’s necessity for environment & Global warming.How ever as per DG instruction we planted drum stick to farmers to help them for making money. iii) Beneficiaries: Group of Farmers iv) Number of Rotarians participated and involved: 7 Rotarian's 5 annes,3 annets v) Other participant institutions (NGOs, Govt and /or Non Govt Agencies, Individuals etc): Cipla Pharmaceutical vi) Cost of the Projects and resources engaged: /- Rs. 8500.00 All contribution was from club for this project. vii) Sustainability: By distributing & planting this plants farmer will get income in within 2 years in less efforts viii) Enhancement of Public Image and publicity in Community: Mouth Publicity & contacting farmers directly IX) Total plant sapling: 1000 Nos Drum Stick + 100 Papaya Saplings. X) Speciality of this project- We distribute these Plants by grouping of farmers those have agriculture land linked in each other so that there will be uniformity while plantation. Cipla foundation is going to distribute 5 each plants to farmers so that beneficiary will be increased.
