We generally complain that the youth in Maharashtra don’t consider enterprenuership as a career option and therefore Maharashtra lags behind in the area of business and industry. To correct this situation, we need to inspire the students in their inperssionable age. With this objective in mind, we created a book narrting the stories of 15 iconic enterprenuers, right fro Jamshedji Tata to Ashish Hemrajani. The copies of these books were distributed in 150 Marathi Medium Schools in Pune and nearby rural areas. Thus we reached over 50,000 students from 7th to 9th Standards. To ensure that more and more students actually read this book, we conducted an examination based on the contents of the book. We offered handsome prizes- Rs. 10,000/- Rs.7500/-, and Rs. 5000/- to the top 3 performers plus Rs. 1000/- to the best entry from every school. About 5000 students from 75 schools apeared for this examination. The response was very positive from the students as well as teachers who found this book very inspiring.
