This Project was conceived and executed by Dr. Sangeeta Wagh with help from Rajesh Gupta, Jitu Mehta , Vikram Desai and Pradeep Munot. 250 doctors of Sassoon Hospital on Covid Duty are housed in nearby Hotels for 14 days. First 7 days they report for their duty and the next seven days, they spend their time in the Hotels in isolation. Only after they test negative , they are allowed to go home. Meals are provided to them by the Government. However due to irregular working hours, they skip their meals. Between meals they are not allowed to go out for snacks etc. As a gesture of gratitude, a snack hamper was put together for them, containing Biscuits, Dry Fruits and Namkeen, This was assembled at Rajesh Gupta’s factory, by his staff and delivered to Sassoon Hotel, Hotel Pancharatna and Lemon tree Hotel . The doctors collected their hampers along with their lunch. The Doctors who are on COVID duty welcomed these treats. It was a fruitful and gratifying Project undertaken By Dr. Sangeeta The hampers were presented to the Dean in presence of MARD Secretary Dr Munde and Dr Waghmare. This will be a continuing project and the next snacks distribution will be on 21st July 2020. Vikram Desai will be sponsoring this week.
