We read a lot about atrocities against girls even at tender ages of 4-5 years. A session on “Good Touch and Bad Touch” was conducted by Rtn. Arti Bhatia (Behavioural Counsellor) for the girls of standard 5 to 7, wherein they were made aware about the Good touch, Bad touch and SECRET TOUCH-which is projected like a good touch but done with wrong intentions. Session was supplemented by presentation and a short animation film which was very well received by the girls. Girls were also encouraged to have a secret PASSWORD with their mothers which can help them to recognise a stranger coming up with wrong intentions. This is yet another step towards self-defence by girls. If the girls are able to comprehend the touch, they can defend themselves. Around 35 girl students of ZP school Ovepeth benefitted from the program. 3 teachers were also present.
