Many students walked from far away villages and vadis to school as there was no public transport available and the students could not afford other means. It was also observed that in societies many bicycles lay surplus and with repairs, these could be utilized beneficially. Appeal to donate such bicycles by RC Kharghar was responded favourably by members of RC Kharghar and two societies in Kharghar and Nerul. When the repairwala knew that these were to be donated to deserving students, he voluntarily paid for its transportation and offered discount on service charges. Though there are many more deserving students, 15 bicycles (to 12 boys and 3 girls) and 2 tricycles were repaired by the club and handed over to the students. Donors are welcome. Headmaster and trustees of the school were present for the function.
