Rotary Day is hosted by Rotary Clubs to inform the public at large how the club served the society. On 20th Dec, Rotary Kharghar along with Harmony Interact Club celebrated ‘Rotary Day’ at a very popular place in Kharghar - Central Park between 5 to 7pm. Rotary Club was supported by Taekwondo Association, educational institutes, BPCL and Mumbai Drum Circle. In addition to the information on various projects done by the club, the opportunity was utilized to promote ‘Safety Awareness’. Following skits and demonstrations were conducted - • TRAINING ON SELF DEFENCE – by Taekwondo Team. • Skit on ROAD SAFETY – by Sanjivani International School. • Skit on AIDS AWRENESS – by Ram Sheth Thakur College. • VIDEO ON HOME SAFETY – by BPCL. • DRUM JAMMING – Drum performance by Mumbai Drum Circle. Chief guest PDG Dr. Girish Gune, appreciated the projects done by the club as they satisfied the need of the society especially adoption of ZP School, Ovepeth and conducting English Communication classes, free mammography checks, donation of footwear, uniforms and bicycles. He also appreciated ‘Road Safety Awareness’ projects done with Traffic Police.
