The community of Auto Rickshaw drivers is constantly getting exposed to the transmittable infection of Carona virus, which can take place from some of the passengers being served by them. With a view to lessen the threat, Rotary District 3131, under the guidance of District Governor Rashmi Kulkarni had decided to distribute transparent plastic curtains to partially shield the rickshaw drivers from the passengers. As a part of this ongoing activity, a token lot of Plastic Curtains was handed over to Mr. Ankush Nawale (President – BJP Rickshaw Aghadi – Pune City); in the evening of 26th Jan’ 21 at the office of the Rotary District Governor’s office near Mitramandal. Supply of more such curtains is to take place in immediate future. Also, Rotary Club of Pune Parvati offeredto conduct free Cataract surgeries on the needy Ricksaw drivers and their family members. This event was attended by past District Governor Vinay Kulkarni, District Governor Rashmi Kulkarni, President Maya Phatak, Dr. Mohan Paranjape, Ankush Nawale, Rotarian Hemant Khire and the members of the Rotary Club of Pune Parvati.
