Tree Plantation Drive was carried out enthusiastically by members of RC Pune University on Tuesday, 29th July 2014 at JSPM College of Pharmacy campus situated at Wakad, Pune. In line with the needs of students to be able to identify different species of trees and plants for medicinal purpose, RCPU arranged for 150 plants of 70 different varieties. In spite of continuous drizzle which often became heavy rain, RCPU members stepped into the muddy field to plant the saplings. Not only members, we also had 5 Annets chipping in, which included the youngest 3 year old Swara as well as a visiting American student. All the medicinal plants were arranged free of cost by Rtn. Bharati Barhate who is devoted to social and environmental work.
