1. Tricycle with a frame donated to Sudam Chavan of Yavat recommended by Utkarsh Apang Sanstha .This wheelchair is especially designed to help him to retailing eats to nearby school children, like cookies, sweets , toffees wafers to earn his livelihood.. Rs.17000 Sudama and Shri Krishna were childhood friends studying at the Ashrama of Rishi Sandipani. Shrikrishna later become a prosperous king while Sudama remained poor. But when they met after many years, Shrikrishna immediately recognised his childhood friend and hugged him. So is the bond of friendship. Sudam Chavan is a polio victim from Yavat. He used to do some petty jobs like cleaning plates at the food joints to earn his living. Due to lockdown he lost his job and was unable to find another one. We don’t know whether he had a childhood friend like Shri Krishna. But Lord Krishna through Savita More and Isak Attar of Utkarsha Apang Sanstha decided to help him. They approached to Shabbirbhai Jamnagarwala and requested him for help. Hence the Gift of Mobility committee donated him a tricycle cum mobile shop. This specially fabricated tricycle has arrangements to store jars and crates. On Savita’s thoughtful suggestion, the committee also purchased for him some toffees, candies and cookies for selling. Sudam had promised not to sell cigarettes and tobacco products. The tricycle was handed over to Sudam on Sunday 14 February 2021 with our traditional recital of Ramdhun- “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”. Savita More and Isak Attar from Utkarsha Apang Sanstha, Vijay Lunawat of Popular Cycle Co were present. We wish Sudam success in his venture. Rtn Vikram Desai had once invited us to meet with his brother-in-law Ashokbhai Patel from Nadiad (Gujrat). Ashokbhai had fabricated and provided innovative tricycle like this to many specially-abled persons and made them self-reliant. Vikrambhai, Ashokbhai, keep us inspired with novel and innovative ideas
