Girl students from standard 7th to 12th from underprivileged schools are checked for Haemoglobin counts. If below normal, we provide them with iron and calcium tablets for 100 days free of cost. And after medication of 100 days, these girls are once again rechecked for normal level of Haemoglobin count. We found that 85% girls are below normal count of 11. We also give them pamphlet in marathi and english of diet plan to improve Hb count. Today we started this project and checked 150 girls. Anns of Akurdi are actively participating in this camp.
