Sarthak Seva Sangh is another NGO which runs a hostel for destitute children upto 11th Standard at the relatively remote village of Ambale in Purandar Taluka about 55 Kms from Pune city. Rotary Club of Pune Pashan has been associated with them over a few years. After donating and installing a Solar power facility for them in RY 2020-21, this year the club followed up by creating hand wash facilities as well as a computer laboratory where the children can pick-up IT skills. We donated 5 computers along with backup systyms and created a computer lab. We also donated 12 wash hand basins. We got help of CSR for this donation. With funding from the club's trust as well as support from Supreme Industries the project was completed over 6 weeks at the beginning of the current rotary year. On 28th August 2021 the project was completed and inaugurated by the club. Over 15 Rotarians, Anns, Annettes visited the hostel on that day and got acquainted with the life of the children and the zeal of the hostel administration of providing this unique service to the sections of our society that is usually out of sight, hence, out of our minds.
