Care India Medical Society is a twenty-eight-year-old public charitable trust working in the field of cancer care in Pune, Maharashtra. They are relentlessly working towards the mission of alleviation of pain and human suffering through public awareness, cancer early detection, cancer treatment and end of life care. The ongoing cancer care programs have evolved over the years to best serve the needs and requirements of the poor and low-income group communities of Pune. CANTREAT is one of the cancer care programs which was started in the year 2013. Under this program they run a state-of-the-art Day Care Center where patients from lower socio-economic backgrounds, mostly women with specific cancers (like breast, cervix and ovarian) are provided free chemotherapy services. A few cases of head and neck cancers (in both men & women) are also treated. All the services are provided free of cost to patients belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society. We RCPGB have provided them a patient monitor which is crucial to monitor physiological signals of a patient's health while chemotherapy is being administered to them.
