As per the appeal made by District Governor Rtn. Dr. Deepak Purohit (District 3131), the Blood Donation Camp was organized at Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Nursing, Katraj, Pune in association with the said College and Bharati Blood Bank on the Doctors Day i.e. on 1st July, 2009 - the first day of the year 2009-10 between 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Fifty eight bottles of blood was collected wherein the studens from Bharati Vidyapeeth Colleges, Rotarian Shripad Kokil, Rotaract President Swapnil Deshpande and Rotaractor Mayur Garudkar from Rotaract Club of Pune Parvati donated the blood. President Rtn. Shantanu, First Lady Manasi, Secretary Rtn. Chandrakant Tupe, Rtn. Mukesh, Rtn. Ganesh, Rtn. Mahesh, Rtn. Suresh Abhyankar, President Elect Vilas Jedhe, PP Hemant Khire, Ann Bhagyashree, Rtn. Madhav Kulkarni, Ann Sadhana, Ann Sucheta, Rtn. Dr. Mrs. Tapati Bhattacharjee were those amongst present. Dr. Shahaji Gaikwad, Head of the Medical of the Bharati Vidyapeeth, Dr.Pathan, Incharge of Bharati Blood Bank, Dr.Mrs. Kale of Bharati Blood Bank and the staff of the Bharati Blood Bank gave full cooperation. Rtn. Dr. Mrs. Tapati Bhattacharjee took pains in organizing the Camp. It was indeed a successful Camp.
