What started off as a 'one-off' project, has now become a project that will involve the ministry on sanitation, and the Commissioner of Police of Pune. The Commissioner was so impressed with our project proposal that he has opted to install one of the toilets in his own office. The idea of the biodegradable toilet is that it is easy to use, easy to transport, degrades over time if needed to be disposed, and most importantly does not leave any foul smell. There is now a plan to install 102 biodegradable toilets all around Maharashtra starting from Pune and Mumbai.
