Sankalp is an organization at Rashin, near Bhigwan, working to bring kids from Pardhi community in the mainstream. These Pardhi kids are either orphans or like orphans and go to local Govt school . Sankalp runs a hostel (catering to about 35 kids) and takes care of their living (stay, food, social upbringing ). Children needed a proper shade in their hostel where food can be cooked, served, eaten in hygenic conditions and also where some social activities can be held for the overall development of these kids. Overall cost was 1.25 Lakhs. Rotary Club of Pune Metro Charitable trust contributed Rs 50,000 to this noble cause. Rest of the funds were raised by our Anna Kedar Joshi thru his social network. During the course of last month. Shade has already been built. RCPM Members will be formally visiting the site in October . This will defititely help kids to have meal in a health environment and have space to conduct value education/social activities for their overall growth. With this project, RCP Metro is doing it's bit by helping these kids come and stay in our community main stream over time and not to become a drag on the society. So far, RCPM Members have spent 40 hours for project ( 20 hours for Proposal evaluation, Validation, Organization check. 4 persons * 5 hours + 5 hours of BOD. 30 min each + approx 15 hours for getting additional Donors in social circle and funds transfers ). In addition, we intend to spend about 40 hours ( 5 persons * 8 hours each ) for site visit on October.
