On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite conducted a Hepatitis-A Screening Camp for its members and family. We as Rotarians work relentlessly to serve the community. But as a Rotarian, it is our responsibility to also keep on checking our health regularly. So we decided to check all the Rotarians and their family members for Hepatitis-A as it is very susceptible to catch during the monsoon season. We did screening by the finger-prick method of 42members and found 15 of them with a minor infection of Hepatitis-A. This screening proved to be useful and impactful as we could identify the patients who were infected by Hepatitis-A but were unaware about it. This project was led and sponsored by Rtn.
