The Rotary Club of Pune Central, in association with the Indian Maritime Foundation (IMF), recently began the cleanup of rivers in Pune and elsewhere. Pune is blessed with a number of rivers and lakes, which brings its own problems — trash generated upstream and within the city ends up on the river banks and creates serious health and environmental issues. During this year’s cleanup event, organized by Rtn. Parvin Malhotra, nine schools participated in a cleanup in Ludhiana on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
