07-01-2023 - 07-01-2023

In continuation of our Jumpstart Livelihoods Project supporting the people who lost their livelihoods, RCP Amanora on 18th February 2023 visited 6 different places in and around Pune to provide them with their prime requirements to restart their businesses. Thanks to our donors including the NGO Spherule Foundation who earned the unending blessings of these needy and poor families who now have hope. 1. Swati: She was given a Sewing Machine after which she is now confident to take care of her sibling’s education and contribute to the expenses. Swati is completing her stitching course. 2. Kalpana: Kalpana lost her husband to Covid and was having challenges with her survival. She is not much educated but is a good cook. She was given a handcart to sell street food as she cooks amazing “Vada Pav”, a local dish that locals in her vicinity cherish. 3. Sheetal : Sheetal has a painful story as she lost her husband a few years ago and trying to survive with her two young daughters. She is a beautician, but her business was limited as she could not invest much in buying kits like hair dryers, straighteners, and some consumables which can attract more customers. She was provided with these stuffs and now she is happy that it will now attract some more business. 4. Gyyaneshwar : Gyanshwar is differently abled and has a shoe repair shop where he repairs all kinds of leather items. He was provided with more equipment that he can leverage to expand his business. His shop closed down during covid but with our help, he will be back on track. 5. Akansha : Akansha’s husband went through brain surgery and has since then been unable to work. She is an amazing cook. We decided to equip her with a cooker, gas stove, and some utensils to win the battle. We will also connect her to more people. 6. Vandana : Vandana lost her husband and was struggling with her life as she had a differently abled kid. She was provided with the vegetables to sell (one time). She has a rented cart. All these costed Rs.60,000/- to the club which was managed through the donors as well as Spherule Foundation. We will continue our efforts to move this project ahead for ever. Our Jumpstart Livelihoods team Ex-president DDMishra, current President Saraswati Venkatraman and Rtn.Faiza Poonawala made great efforts in completing today's project.
