A community centre was set up at Ahalwadi Village, near Wagholi, Pune. Several heads of Ladies Bachat gats (groups) (microfinance groups) were present. Three sewing machine tables and stools were donated to them. The Bible Reading Society plan to conduct sewing classes for them. The women receiving the sewing machines will be trained in garment production providing uniforms to village schools, hospital and government organisations. This will provide sustainable livelihood to these women enabling entrepreneurship development.
