Kasurdi has a population of less than 800 on voter list but has a migrant population of about 8000 people working in small and medium companies around. The village didn't have its own land and not enough official population to create primary health centre as per the government norms. Being a Agri area, it has disturbed the land creatures and as such many snakes and snake bites incidences have occurred. In the family of Badawe Engineers an incidence occurred, where one of the director, suffered a stroke and was required to be driven nearly 25 Km for one hour before basic medication could be provided. This triggered the need for the PHC. The challenge was to get a land and then construct the PHC. As the land is at premium it was not affordable, so we had to convince the villagers and the villagers donated about land worth 20L. The Rotary club of Pune Tilak Road has taken the responsibility of constructing the PHC and contributed amount of Rs 8,50,000/-.
