On the occasion of RAKHI PORNIMA, some of our members and Anns visited the Sunderji's Institute of Special Children to spend some time with those children from classes Nursery to standard X. The Institute is doing a wonderful job to nurture and educate the special children.Some of them are appearing for the std.X exam of Open School every year. They are also taught various types of crafts and vocational skills also. Our Rotarian Masarrat Tavawalla is the Director of this Institute and she is in charge of all the centers like the Nursery, Teachers' Training Institute, Centre for Children with Learning Difficulties, Center for Open School and Autistic Center. Our members and Anns tied Rakhis to all 90 Special children who are being taken care of by specially trained teachers and helpers. Those Rakhis were made by those children under the guidance of expert teachers. We had taken sweets for them. From our club, Anns Manju,Meena,Pammi,Priti and Rtns. Supriya and Masarrat were present. This is a joint project with the Inner Wheel Club of Poona Downtown.
