Adolescent Girls' Awareness Project, ASK YOUR QUESTIONS TO THE DOCTOR. This is the second in the series of Awareness Programs planned under the name LET THEM BLOOM for the benefit of the Adolescent girls of slum areas. Adolescence is the phase of life when both boys and girls are confronted with various growing issues like physical, emotional as well as social. They have a lot of apprehensions, doubts and questions in their minds. To help them to realize the problems and assure them of their doubts, this special program was arranged on 8th of September at Sajnabai Bhandari School at Tadiwala Road for the Xth standard students. This was actually a Question-Answer Session conducted by Rtn. Laila Garda. The girls were asked to write their questions on small chits of papers(without writing their names) which were collected in a sealed box. The questions were based on their relationships, eve teasing, menstrual issues and simple sexual problems. Dr. Laila answered each and every question with patience, explaining them with diagrams to make everything so clear and simple, so that the session which started with the girls giggling and feeling shy, ended up with the same girls looking confident and satisfied, ready to face the challenges of womanhood. It was a highly interactive session where 45 girls participated. From RCPD, Manju Mookerji and Meena Latey were present.
