Rotary Club of Chinchwad and Pimpri Elite got a beautiful opportunity on 23rd July 2023 to become a Social partner for one of the biggest marathons of Maharashtra, Apla Pune Marathon. An event by Champ Endurance and powered by Punit Balan Group. Event also graced with the presence of IPS Krishna Prakash sir and Amit Ghawate IRS. As social partner, Rotary got an opportunity to sponsor 240 plus orphan children to participate in marathon and have a feel of the event. This cause was also supported by Care for You Foundation. Leading the social cause were President of Rotary Club of Chinchwad, Rtn. Yatish Bhatt, Secretary Rtn.Sachin Wadbudhe. and from Pimpri Elite President, Rtn. Ashok Shinde, Secretary Rtn Santosh Hol. Also joining with them, District Governor of 3131, Rtn. Manjoo Phadke. A special 3 kms route was planned for the children. Flag off was done at 8 am by all the degnatories present as above with respective Club members. Children were entertained with zumba warmup first. They all were given special t shirts with slogan, say no to Drugs and yes to Run. After flag of they were entertained with music on route. Also route support for safty and hydration. On completion they all received a medal of appreciation. There was so much of joy and happiness in their eyes as tis was all so new for them. With this cause Rotary Club of Chinchwad and Pimpri Elite gave those children a new experience which they will cherish for their lifetime.
