Gunny bags are filled with mud and are strategically placed where the water flows. This is done in the remote areas such as farms, jungles and outskirts of the city area. As the flowing water is stopped, we are charging the ground water. It also becomes the drinking water source for the nearby animals. Flowing water usually ends up not benefiting anyone at all. As it ends up not uniting the river or any bigger water bodies. Also, the water is not supporting to the life around it. As the monsoon is over, the water will take more time to diminish. Water that is blocked takes time to diminish and supports to noble causes. During the vanrai project, more than 50,000 gunny bags were collected and distributed to various locations for its purpose. RC Chincwad helped to collect and delivery 12,000 gunny bags from various locations to Bhor Forest department office.
