Rotary District 3131 and the Agricultural Department of Pune, in collaboration with the Maharashtra government, have initiated a watershed management campaign called "Water Conservation, Water Harvesting" in 13 talukas of Pune district and in Raigad district. The campaign, which began 60 days ago, has successfully completed the construction of 1147 watershed structures in Pune district and 200 in Raigad district by December 1, 2023 (Green Friday). These water conservation structures, built with the help of Rotary Clubs, will be instrumental in providing irrigation for agricultural purposes and drinking water for animals, covering a total area of 1000 hectares. In the face of current challenging circumstances, Rotary Clubs have taken on social responsibility and actively participated in the "Water Conservation, Water Harvesting" initiative.
