Rotary sports city team along with multiple other Rotary club and international club has identified that regular sanitary pads take 500 years for biodegradation. These single use pads have chemicals and plastics which impact women health and can be cause of diseases. Rotary sports city initiated the project for promoting reusable pads which can sustain and be reused for about 2 years , which means about 24 period cycles. These are cost effective , better for environment , better for women health. Rotary sports city club engaged with Youthaid NGO and trained the underprivileged women on stitching and manufacturing high quality reusable cloth pads. The initiative by Rotary club of sports city not only brought environment and health benefit to women it also provided earning potential to underprivileged women.
