RC PEN along with Innerwheel club of Pen collected nirmalya waste from the devotees on 5th day, 10th day, 12th day of Ganpati visarjan. Preserves the cleanliness of rivers, temples, and residential/commercial areas. Manages cleaning arrangements during seasonal festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi. Strengthens the bond between humans and their devotion to God. Every Ganapati Visarjan, Pen's rivers are choked with hundreds of tonnes of paper, plastic, thermocol, flowers fruits, and cloth. This practice pollutes the city's already stressed rivers. Swach's 'Nirmalaya' Project enables devotees to recycle their votive offerings. Solid waste basically contains paper, plastic, food, yard waste, flower, leaves etc. Out of these “Nirmalya waste” is used in present study, it mainly consist of different types of floral offering and leaves. Benefits of Nirmalya Kalash: Preserves the cleanliness of rivers, temples, and residential/commercial areas. Manages cleaning arrangements during seasonal festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Shivratri, Tajiye etc. Strengthens the bond between humans and their devotion to God. Not only the Nirmally waste was collected but the flowers and garland were kept for drying with the intention to take a workshop for Adivasisi and downtrodden women of making agarbatti (incense stick) which will generate business opportunity for them
