Some weeks back Rtn. Suhailji had a proposal to visit a school in Kondhwa area and study the requirement of the school. Few Rotarians volunteered to visit this School on 6th.Oct.to meet the Principal and some of their staff members. The school is located in the bylanes of Kondhwa. Due to difficult location, the school & students have been neglected of basic necessity such as food, due to which the students remain undernourished. The school has about 500 students & about 200 students who attend school from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm onwards are the unlucky ones. The reason being that the parents of these children are either maids or rickshaw drivers etc., who are in rush to go to work, these parents neglect their children. Hence seeing the plight of these children, the Rotarians present at ground zero decided to provide protein rich diet to these unfortunates twice a week only, So to begin with we worked a plan to feed these children with a banana on 1 day & a boiled egg Or a Banana again on another day. We all thought that this would be an ongoing project for our Club. In totality such arrangement would require an recurring cost of Rs. 5000/- per month. We all thought of raising these funds within our club members. If thru our members contribution of a small amount of Rs. 1000/- every 2 months. This would be a substantial amount to take care of these unfortunates. Hence the Rotarians present decided to initiate this project this coming Tuesday 10th of October. Charter President Rtn.
