Rotaract Club of DYPIEMR under the guidance of Rotary Club of Nigdi conducted a book donation drive at Shardashram Prathamik Ashram Shala, Shirgaon on 1st March 2024. The club donated more than 600+ books worth Rs. 40,000/- For the same, A book donation counter was set up at Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Engineering Management and Research, Akurdi for a week where students voluntarily donated books and monetary funds. These consisted of story books, text books, Informational books, Dictionaries, notebooks, Self help books, Arts and Craft books, Magazines, etc. The Rotaract club members spent time with the students in the Ashram. They played various games along with the children. They also performed dances, sang songs and shared beautiful inspiring stories with them. They also shared sweets and other eatables with the children. This campaign not only brought happiness to the club members but also proved that the Rotary- Rotaract movement can surely touch millions of hearts and create hope in the world. Thus, sticking to the motto of Rotaract Club of DYPIEMR- “Service to humanity”
