Rotary 3131 - Project Details

01-03-2024 - 03-03-2024

Rotary club of Patalganga in association with Birla Carbon Limited through CSR has initiated and started the Borewell recharge Project. Borewell recharging mainly focuses on utilizing surface or Ground water that has been stored in ground during rain . This water is made to percolate through Slits made on Casing Pipes by a specific method. This is an environmentally friendly method and using this method also helps in preventing adverse social impacts like loss of agricultural land or displacement of population. The direct borewell recharge method is widely advocated as it helps in making the water available for both irrigation and drinking purposes. Even the mostly dried-up borewells can also be filled up with this recharge method. We have identified 20 Dried Borewells in Raigad district which will be recharged through this method. The villagers are very happy and thankful to Rotary Club for initiating this project which will be helpful to them.
