Recogniizing talented and motivated teachers. Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar has a tradition of honoring and felicitating TEACHERs who sterch and dedicate themselves to go extra miles to benefit their students through their teaching. Club declares and hands over cash awards to these teachers at a social function recognizing their contribution This year following teachers were bestowed with BEST TEACHER AWARDs. Pradnya Sonavane of Dnyanprabhat School Nigadi, Pradnya is a young teacher & Principal of a primary school who got motivated observing work of her father for educating ladies and students from temporary labour community coloneis. Pradnya her family and fellow teachers have been successfully carrying out this task of establishing a school for children most of whom can not afford to pay any fees. Excellent results are being achieved by shool students in spite of many odds. Pramod Marathe Principal of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Pune Classical music which has been an important piller of Indian Culture Philosophy is taught by the school. Pramod Marathe, Principal of this school has dedicatedly built up this institute keeping in pace with time and techonoloies. Students are nurtured both by physical attendance as well as technology based on-line courses. Neeta Awate of Ankur School A highly qualified (M.Ed.) professional teacher Neeta has dedicated herself to the cause of Ankur. Ankur is an inclusive schools which gives equal opportunities to students with different needs under same roof. Neeta has been teaching students for last 8 years with different abilities together to nurture and groom them up to take resposible roles in society.
