We organised Biggest Beauty Pageant- Fashion Fiesta 2024. The event was inaugurated by IPDG Dr. Anil Parmar & Dr. Hema Parmar. The Highlight of this event was providing Platform and including 20 Transgender in the Beauty Pageant. Transgenders across the world have led exemplary lives full of stories that are not only inspiring but full of grit. Transgender are often the victims of social and political discrimination. By providing platform in beauty pageants we as a Rotary have acknowledged their rights. On 27th Jan we organised choreography and rehearsal for all and final show was on 28th Jan. This event provided them opportunity to compete and showcase their talent and beauty. The purpose was to provide an opportunity for transgender community to be more accepted in today's world, to create transgender rights awareness among people and to build friendship and equality. Transgender Sagar from Tweet Foundation thanked Rotary for providing them this opportunity. Trans contestants were very delighted to be involved in the main stream of pageant competition which they had never experienced. All other 65 contestants from Mr, Mrs & Ms category were very happy to be a part of this unique experience of sharing platform with transgender. Our purpose was to change the mindset of people towards this trans community and happy to achieve the purpose, though there is a long way to Go. More than 400 audience attended the event and were impressed and attracted towards Rotary.
