THIS IS AN UNIQUE PROJECT COMPLETED WITH SYNERGY OF 4 ROTARY CLUBS AND 3 CSR PARTNERS. WHAT ? Construction of submerged dam on the backwaters of Chaskaman dam in Ambegaon taluka. The dam height is 10meters ,so that when the main Dam (Chaskaman) gets full water, the dam is submerged by 1 meter.(during monsoon and upto November) Later on as the water in main dam recedes below 10 meters the Dam retains the water (10m height X area behind the dam) As a result , even if the water level in main dam drops down substantially, this stored water will meet the need upto May-June ( upto the on-set of next monsoon) The starage capacity is estimated to be 100 million Litres. Which will suffice to meet drinking water needs plus water for agriculture. Will prove to be a boon to people of Gudalwadi and surrounding area.
