The Project aims to provide the benefit of Solar Energy to meet the electricity needs of 50 poor rural households in village Hatve Budruk, Bhor Taluka, Pune District. All 50 houses have a MSEDCL connection with Individual meters. Their average needs are less than what will be generated by the Solar Installation. The Provision of In Grid Solar Generation of 1KW to each house will ensure that all the Electricity generated by the Roof top Solar plant, will be fed into the MSEDCL grid and the family will not have to pay any bills. The Plant has a life of 20 years and no maintenance costs. The beneficiaries will be able to use the money saved to provide better Nutrition to the Family and improve the health and wellbeing of the family. It will also lead to 1) Enhanced reliability, security, and resilience of the State’s power grid 2) Reduced carbon emissions and air pollution from energy production 3) Expanded clean energy access for a rural community. The Project will be run and managed by Rotary Clubs.
