On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Rotary Club of Pen and The Hindu New Year Procession Committee of Pen organized a grand celebration to welcome the Indian New Year on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa. Held annually on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, this year’s event began at Shri Rameshwar Devasthan and was filled with enthusiasm and excitement, bringing the community together in a vibrant celebration. Special Highlights Bike/Scooter Rally for Women: A special bike and scooter rally featured women dressed in traditional attire, symbolizing empowerment and cultural pride. This rally not only showcased the strength and enthusiasm of women in the community but also highlighted their role in upholding traditions while embracing modernity. Cultural Procession: The procession was a colorful display of the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with Gudi Padwa. Participants carried beautifully decorated Gudi flags, wore traditional clothes, and performed traditional dances, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere.
