The Rotary Club of Baramati organized a two-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) workshop on 31st August and 1st September 2024 to foster leadership qualities among school students. The event, hosted at Cyrus Poonawalla School, was inaugurated by Principal Yashomati Nigade, who praised RYLA for providing students with essential knowledge beyond their regular curriculum. The workshop, attended by more than 100 students from various schools, included a series of lectures and practical sessions focused on personality development, critical thinking, and communication skills. Rotary Club members, including President Arvind Gargate, Secretary Ravikiran Khartode, and Youth Director Adv. Akshay Mahadik, were present to oversee the event's proceedings. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, from storytelling and handwriting improvement to environmental conservation and scientific thinking. Expert speakers like Prof. Dr. Vijay Kakade, Krishna Kudale, and Mujtaba Lokhandwala provided valuable insights into these areas, engaging students with practical demonstrations and interactive sessions. The second day began with a yoga and Zumba session led by Shivani Sapkal, while later sessions focused on nutrition and communication skills. The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony led by Assistant Governor Rakesh Ganbote, honoring participating students and schools. The event was a great success, made possible by the efforts of Rotary members, school staff, and volunteers, all working together to inspire the next generation of leaders.
