The Disha Rotaract Club of Jagriti Installation Ceremony of the new board of directors for the year 2024- 25 took place on 3rd August 2024 at NFBM Skill Development Centre, Alandi. The program was scheduled at 3:00 PM in the presence of 21 SDC Students, teachers of SDC, Chief Guest Rtn. Brigadier PKM Raja, President RCPC, R’Ann Sujaya Raja, Rtn. PP Dr. Madhavi Vaze, Youth Director RCPC, Rtn. Anil Bora, Rtn. Rajesh Yadav, Mrs. Sakina Bedi, Spokesperson NFBM, Mangala Khunte , Principal Jagriti School for Blind Girls, Alandi, and Aarti Takawane , Head, Skill Development Center, Alandi. Anchoring was done by Mrs. Jayashri Joshi, Teacher at SDC. The chief guests and all the attendees for the event were welcomed by a melodious song sung by Siddhi Khochare, student of class 12. Aarti Takawane Mam shared the information about the Skill development centre, the courses conducted here, the placements of the students and also the plan for the coming batch. A detailed report of the Rotaract club for the previous year was shared by Swati Ingole from class 12. Last year was full of exposure visits, activities and learnings. Few of them are Visit to IISER Pune, Metro ride and hands on session of Cloth Bag Making using Old T-Shirts. Installation ceremony for all the new board members (pinning the badges) was done by Rtn Brigadier PKM Raja and Rtn Madhavi Vaze. After the installation future plans for the year 2024-25 was shared by the new incoming president Nikita Kirtane. The activities planned for the coming quarter include a visit to Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, Khadki, under community service and under Educational Visit, trip to Sinhagad Fort, where students will learn about the historical significance of the fort along with its biodiversity and lastly a tree plantation drive. All the guests guided and motivated the students to work hard, explore new opportunities and believe in themselves. The Installation Ceremony of the Jagriti Rotaract Club was a very well organised event and it concluded at 4 P.M.
