Rotary Club of Pune Metro installs Cement benches at Sankalp Vasatigruh of Adivasi Pardhi Samaj Vikas Sanstha, Rashin, Ahmednagar. The vasatigruh has around 40 children from the age group 5-15 yrs who are given shelter and education. These children come from Pardhi community and have no access to basic amenities and education. RCP Metro has identified the needs at the vasatigruh and through this year, we are going to be providing them with sports and playground equipments, Sports clothing and shoes, seating for computer lab, benches for outdoor seating, ‘bolkya bhinti’ to cover compound and hostel walls. We will also be installing solar lamps and invertor backup within the vasatigruh campus. One of the immediate pressing needs identified at the hostel was the lack of adequate outdoor seating arrangements for the children, for activities, study sessions and recreation. To address this need, we have installed durable cement benches that can serve as functional and long-lasting seating solutions. 10 cement benches have been installed at the vasatigruh in the earlier 2 weeks and we inaugurated on 15th of August when along with celebrating independence, the vasatigruha also celebrates the birthday of all the resident children.
