Green Gold event held on 7th and 8th October 2024 at KVK Baramati Zydex was a significant multi-district initiative focused on vocational training for farmers across Maharashtra. The event, which brought together Rotary members and leaders from several Rotary International districts, aimed to equip farmers with practical skills and knowledge to enhance agricultural practices, with a theme called "Green Gold". Key Rotary figures, including District Governors Sheetal Shah, Dinesh Mehta, Tushar Shah, Chetan Desai, and Dr. Subhash Saboo, participated, showcasing the broad support from multiple districts. By uniting expertise from various areas, this program emphasized Rotary's commitment to sustainable farming practices and community development, contributing to the agricultural sector's long-term growth. The event saw active participation from Presidents and leaders from various Rotary Clubs, including RC Pune Parvati, RC Satellite City, RC Dhule, RC Thane Aces, and many more. With the guidance of advisors like PDG Rashmi Kulkarni and co-convenors such as Dr. Sunita Jain and Sharad Pai, the program covered topics related to modern farming techniques, soil health, and sustainable crop management. This initiative reflects Rotary's dedication to fostering economic self-reliance among farmers, enabling them to adopt eco-friendly practices that can boost productivity.
